What does pain management actually look like when the goal is function, not just sedation? Ask the patients who come to Dr. Mendez after years of being handed prescriptions without a plan. He uses nerve blocks, joint injections, trigger point therapy, and medication management in combination, adjusting the mix based on what actually lets each patient get back to work, sleep through the night, or pick up their grandchild. His fellowship at Montefiore trained him in interventional techniques, and his anesthesiology residency at Jacobi gave him the procedural foundation to perform them safely.
