Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States, and our cardiology team at Moses Medical Center is committed to changing that statistic one patient at a time. Our cardiologists provide comprehensive evaluation and management of conditions including hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias. Using advanced diagnostic tools such as electrocardiograms, echocardiography, and stress testing, we identify cardiovascular risk early and develop targeted treatment plans that combine medication management with evidence-based lifestyle interventions.

For patients experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, or other concerning symptoms, our cardiology department offers thorough evaluation to determine the underlying cause and establish an appropriate course of action. We take a proactive approach to cholesterol management and blood pressure control, recognizing that these modifiable risk factors are among the most powerful levers for preventing heart attacks and strokes. Every patient receives a personalized cardiovascular risk assessment that considers family history, metabolic health, and lifestyle factors.

Our cardiologists work in close coordination with Moses Medical Center’s primary care providers, internal medicine team, and on-site laboratory to deliver integrated cardiac care. Whether you’ve been referred for a specific concern or are seeking ongoing management of an established condition, our team provides the clinical expertise and personal attention necessary to support your long-term heart health.

Frequently Asked Questions

What cardiology services do you offer?
We provide comprehensive cardiology care including heart disease screening, EKG/ECG testing, echocardiograms, blood pressure management, cholesterol management, heart failure monitoring, arrhythmia evaluation, and cardiac risk assessments. Our cardiologists work closely with your primary care provider to keep your heart health on track.
Do I need a referral to see the cardiologist?
It depends on your insurance plan. Most Medicaid and HMO plans require a referral from your primary care provider. PPO plans and Original Medicare generally do not require a referral. Our staff can help you figure out whether you need one and can coordinate with your primary care doctor if needed.
What are the warning signs of heart disease?
Common warning signs include chest pain or tightness, shortness of breath during normal activities, unusual fatigue, dizziness or lightheadedness, swelling in the legs or ankles, and a rapid or irregular heartbeat. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, schedule an evaluation as soon as possible. If you have sudden chest pain, call 911 immediately.
How often should I get my heart checked?
Adults over 40 should have a cardiovascular risk assessment at least once a year. If you have risk factors such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, a family history of heart disease, or if you smoke, you may need more frequent monitoring. Your provider will create a screening schedule tailored to your risk level.
