Dr. James Chen

On a typical morning, Dr. Chen reviews imaging and lab results before his first patient arrives, then spends the day in consultations for hernias, gallbladder disease, and soft-tissue masses that other providers have flagged for surgical evaluation. He trained entirely within the NYU system, including a five-year surgical residency at NYU Langone, and joined Moses Medical so that patients on Westchester Avenue could get a surgical consult without trekking to a Manhattan hospital. His pre-operative conversations tend to run long because he walks through every step of what will happen, what the recovery looks like, and when to call him after the procedure.
