Jean-Pierre Beaumont

On a typical afternoon, Jean-Pierre might see a Haitian grandmother managing her blood pressure, then spend 30 minutes with a young man who has questions about PrEP but has never discussed HIV prevention with a provider before. That range is the job, and he is good at it. He trained at the CUNY School of Medicine PA Program with a focus on underserved urban populations, and he brought that training directly to the Bronx. His PrEP work matters here because the Haitian and Francophone African communities often lack providers who can discuss sexual health without cultural friction. Jean-Pierre can, and does, every day.
