(646) 741-2111

Mental health is an essential component of overall well-being, and at Moses Medical Center, our behavioral health services are fully integrated into your medical care. Our licensed clinicians provide evaluation and treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and other conditions using a combination of psychotherapy and medication management. We believe that mental health care should be as routine and accessible as any other medical service, which is why we’ve embedded behavioral health directly within our practice rather than requiring patients to seek separate providers.

We recognize that the communities we serve face unique stressors, including economic hardship, systemic barriers, and the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our behavioral health team provides trauma-informed care, grief counseling, and substance use support in a judgment-free environment. For patients dealing with co-occurring conditions, such as depression alongside diabetes or anxiety alongside chronic pain, our clinicians collaborate directly with your medical providers to ensure that treatment plans address the whole person.

Seeking help for mental health concerns takes courage, and our team is committed to making the process as comfortable as possible. Initial assessments are comprehensive but unhurried, and follow-up sessions are scheduled at intervals that support your progress. We offer both in-person and telehealth appointments to accommodate your schedule and preferences. If you or a loved one is struggling, we encourage you to reach out. No referral is needed to schedule an appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What behavioral health services do you provide?
We offer screening and treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, substance use disorders, and other mental health conditions. Our approach integrates behavioral health with your primary care so you can get comprehensive support in one place. We provide therapy referrals, medication management, and crisis support.
Is my behavioral health visit confidential?
Absolutely. All behavioral health visits are strictly confidential and protected by federal and state privacy laws including HIPAA. Your mental health records are kept separate from your general medical records and are not shared without your explicit written consent, except in cases where there is an immediate safety concern.
Do I need to be diagnosed with a mental illness to seek help?
No. You do not need a diagnosis to talk to one of our providers about stress, sleep problems, grief, relationship difficulties, or just feeling overwhelmed. Many patients come in simply because they are going through a hard time and want support. Early intervention can prevent issues from becoming more serious.
Can my primary care doctor prescribe medication for anxiety or depression?
Yes. Many of our primary care providers are trained to screen for and treat common mental health conditions like anxiety and depression, including prescribing medications when appropriate. For more complex conditions, they may refer you to a psychiatrist or behavioral health specialist within our network.
Do you offer therapy or counseling on site?
We provide initial assessments and ongoing medication management on site. For regular therapy and counseling sessions, we coordinate with trusted behavioral health partners in the Bronx and can set up referrals quickly. Our goal is to make sure you have a seamless path to the care you need.
